This site has been set up by Ben Lampard, a resident of Wellington, New Zealand. I have no affiliations with any political parties or councils.

What is this site for?

This site contains RSS feeds for the local council consultations currently in progress to make it easier to find out what's happening in your area or around the country. It attempts to be a complete list, but as the process for gathering consultations is still somewhat manual there is often a chance that consultations will not appear on the site for a week or two. If you know of consultations that are not on the site please send them in.

The site is in its infancy and there is a long 'proposed feature' list, which you are most welcome to add to by contacting me.

This site is not:

1. affiliated with any local bodies in any way;
2. an official source of any Council draft policy;
3. a place to make submissions to the council. You must do that via the regular channels;
4. a replacement for carefully reading and understanding the source Council documents. Much sleep is lost in attempting to avoid errors and omissions, but the opportunity for human error remains.

This site is:

1. run by an unpaid amateur with a day job;
2. in need of your help by leaving comments, pointing out mistakes if you see them, telling your friends about this site, and getting involved with making submissions on policy that affects you. Further opportunities for you to help will present themselves as I find my feet, so please send in your ideas for improvements;
3. changing. Originally it was to be a source of Council Consultations in a non-PDF format. That is still a goal in the longer term, in the short term the aim of the site is simply a list of all consultations, with a machine readable format too (RSS).
